Dogwood Days is...

the creative project of multi-instrumentalist michael beale.

i write, record, and produce everything from a spare bedroom in my lil' house in north carolina.

my only roommate is jonah, a 100 lb. chocolate lab // anatolian shepherd mixed güd boy.

i grew up in the north, and moved to the south. but dogwood lane will always be home.

so, i think of 'dogwood days' as not just a name, but a reminder. a reminder of roots. and a feeling that "the good ol' days" is real, without necessarily yearning for a return. 

i kinda sound like...

a lil' Mt. Joy. a lot o' John Mayer. and secretly i want to sound like weird al. 

but whenever i sit down to write, it sounds like a dollop of indie-pop, a dash of soft rock, and a heap of singer-songwriter. 

Something different.

For the past 3 years, my official job title has been 'ankle art director.' In other words, i sell custom socks when i'm not making music 🧦. 

And i've learned a thing or two about the merch industry along the way. Including the companies that do it best.
